Hasbiyallah Oyebo, a 300-Level Computer Science student in the Faculty of Science at Lagos State University (LASU), is fast emerging as one of the institution’s most impactful and purpose-driven student leaders, combining academic excellence with innovation, leadership, and service.

Currently serving as the Vice President of the National Association of Computer Students (NACOS), LASU Chapter, Hasbiyallah has distinguished herself as a dynamic force within the tech and student community. Her leadership footprint extends across multiple platforms on campus and beyond.

She serves as Co-Lead of Nithub, Technical Co-Lead of the Google Developer Group on Campus LASU (GDGoc), Technical Lead at Hult Prize LASU, a Postman Student Expert, and one of the student coordinators at the LASU Innovation Hub. Through these roles, she has consistently championed technical growth, collaboration, and innovation among students.

🚀 Pioneer of Daydream Hackathon in Nigeria

In a remarkable stride toward advancing tech innovation, Hasbiyallah is the pioneer of the Daydream Hackathon in Nigeria — an initiative that has grown beyond its origin to expand into five additional states across the country. The hackathon continues to provide young innovators with a platform to build solutions, sharpen technical skills, and network within Nigeria’s growing digital ecosystem.

📚 Promoting Technical Excellence on Campus

On campus, Hasbiyallah has co-hosted several academic symposiums centered on leadership, growth, and excellence. Deeply passionate about technical empowerment, she regularly organizes sessions focused on equipping students with in-demand digital skills such as:

  • Coding fundamentals and advanced concepts
  • SDK installation and environment setup
  • Project configuration and deployment
  • Effective use of Google developer tools

Her hands-on approach has helped demystify complex technical concepts, making digital skills more accessible to students across disciplines.

🏆 Recognitions and Impact Beyond Awards

Her dedication and impact have earned her prestigious recognitions, including:

  • Innovator of the Year 2025
  • Top Ten Young Personalities 2025 by Junior Chamber International Nigeria LASU (@jcin_lasu)
  • Multiple hackathon victories

However, beyond awards and accolades, her most profound impact lies in the lives she has transformed. As a student leader, she successfully helped three students raise full funding for their school fees and provided support to two others — a testament to her belief that leadership is rooted in service, not status.

🌱 Leading With Purpose

Like every evolving leader, Hasbiyallah’s journey has not been without its challenges. Yet, her resilience, focus, and commitment to continuous growth have defined her path. Inspired by the challenges faced by students within her discipline, she chose not to remain a bystander but instead stepped forward to become part of the solution.
