The recognition ceremony, reported by Lagosnewsblog, celebrated educators who have distinguished themselves through professionalism, integrity, and impactful contributions to teaching and learning within the district.

Honorees of Excellence

The beneficiaries of the commendation include:

  • Uzomba, Rosecolette Amaechi
  • Oyewuwo Mistura Olayinka
  • Okoya Oluwakemi Christiana
  • Yunus Azeezat Fadeke

Mrs. Uzomba Rosecolette Amaechi, an Agricultural Science teacher at Igbologun Senior Secondary School, received special approval for commendation during the TG/PS’s official visit to the school. She was applauded for her innovative teaching techniques and her remarkable ability to simplify complex concepts, making lessons engaging, practical, and impactful for students.

The other three awardees — Oyewuwo Mistura Olayinka, Okoya Oluwakemi Christiana, and Yunus Azeezat Fadeke — are newly recruited teachers who demonstrated outstanding qualities during their onboarding sensitization programme. Their readiness to follow instructions, respect for constituted authorities, proactive disposition, and eagerness to learn earned them recognition.

Notably, they also rendered commendable service at the District Farm prior to their deployment to their respective schools, further reflecting their dedication and team spirit.

Commitment to Excellence

In his congratulatory remarks, Mr. Abiodun encouraged the honorees to remain steadfast and committed to excellence, reminding them that “one good turn deserves another.” He urged them not to relent in their pursuit of greatness and assured them that greater opportunities lie ahead.

He further used the occasion to motivate all staff members across the district, emphasizing that hard work and dedication never go unnoticed:

“Do not be discouraged in doing your best. We may not always know you personally, but no good deed goes unrewarded; somebody, somewhere is watching.”

Promoting a Culture of Recognition

The presentation of commendation letters reinforces the administration’s unwavering commitment to rewarding excellence and fostering a culture of diligence, accountability, and professionalism across all zones within the district.

The initiative serves as both recognition and motivation — inspiring educators to continue shaping young minds with passion, creativity, and integrity.
