Education District III has announced the promotion of several Vice Principals to the substantive position of Principals as part of its sustained drive to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance academic excellence across public secondary schools within the District.
The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Olusegun Olawale Osinaike, formally presented the letters of promotion to the newly elevated Principals at a well-attended ceremony held at the District Headquarters in Falomo, Ikoyi.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Osinaike congratulated the officers on their well-deserved advancement, describing the promotion as a recognition of their dedication, competence, and years of meritorious service within the Lagos State Public Service. He urged the newly appointed Principals to justify the confidence reposed in them by demonstrating exemplary leadership, professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to excellence in their respective schools.
The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary charged the new Principals to serve as worthy ambassadors of the Governor and Lagos State Government, ensuring that teachers discharge their responsibilities diligently while students remain disciplined, focused, and committed to academic success.
Emphasising the importance of collaboration, Mr. Osinaike encouraged the Principals to foster teamwork among school administrators by sharing innovative ideas and best practices for effective school management. He also stressed the need to uphold discipline and proper conduct among students, advising that they must be guided away from hooliganism and street fighting, while maintaining appropriate dressing and decorum at all times.
Education District III reaffirmed its commitment to promoting capable leaders and sustaining high educational standards in alignment with the State Government’s THEMES Plus Agenda. The promotion marks another milestone in the District’s continuous effort to build a stronger, more dynamic educational system that nurtures excellence and responsible citizenship.
