The Managing Director/CEO of Oke Aje Epe Nig. Ltd, Mrs. Beatrice Olabisi James, has lost her mother, Mrs. Rhoda Modupeoluwa Ogunlaja (nee Ajeniya)

 The family announced in a statement issued by the family Friday, that the matriarch died peacefully on Sunday, 2nd August, 2026 at the age of 102.

 The statement described the late Rhoda Ogunlaja, as a devoted Christian and a respected community leader, who was known for promoting peace, unity and service.

 It reads, "late Mrs.Rhoda Ogunlaja, was a cherished matriarch who held her family together in love, peace and unity. She was a community women's leader and Christian leader, whose beliefs and faith in God were firm and resolute."

 The family added that she was, "loved and highly respected in her community and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and unwavering support for those around her and beyond." 

 The statement said James, and her family also expressed appreciation for the messages of condolences received since their matriarch's death.

 "Mrs. James and the entire family are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of condolences and love already being shown them."

 "Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared with the public in due course. The family appreciates the continued thoughts and prayers from friends, supporters and well wishers," the statement added.
