BREAKING NEWS: ENGR. TOYIN S. GANIYU EMERGES PDP CONSENSUS CANDIDATE FOR LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTION

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos East Senatorial District have unanimously affirmed Engr. Toyin Sakiru Ganiyu as the party’s consensus candidate for the Lagos East Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation took place during a well-attended party gathering held in the Surulere area of Ikorodu, where party leaders, executives, youth groups, stakeholders, and supporters from the five local government areas within the district converged to endorse Ganiyu’s candidacy.

The exercise was conducted by the PDP Chairman in Lagos East, Hon. Taiwo AbdulRasaq, in the presence of party chieftains and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ensuring transparency and credibility throughout the process.

Party faithful at the event expressed strong confidence in Engr. Ganiyu’s leadership capacity, political experience, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the PDP in Lagos State. Many stakeholders described his emergence as a unifying decision capable of repositioning the party for greater success in the district.

Speaking shortly after his affirmation, Engr. Toyin Sakiru Ganiyu expressed deep appreciation to party leaders, members, and supporters for the trust and confidence reposed in him. He pledged to remain committed to serving the people of Lagos East and advancing policies that would promote development, inclusion, and grassroots empowerment across the district.

Ganiyu further assured party members of his readiness to work with all stakeholders to strengthen the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections, while calling for unity, dedication, and collective effort in achieving victory for the party.
