UNLOCKING POTENTIAL, GUIDING CAREER PATHS FOR LEKKI LCDA STUDENTS

The future of any community is shaped not only by access to education but by how effectively young minds are guided to discover and develop their purpose. This vision came alive as the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) successfully concluded a two-day Sensitization Programme on Career Development for students in public schools across the council area, held at the Council Secretariat.

The programme, which attracted students, educators, and key community stakeholders, was designed to equip young learners with the knowledge, mindset, and tools required to make informed career decisions in a rapidly evolving world.

Building on the success of the opening session, the final day featured a highly impactful presentation titled “Unlocking the Genius Within: Future-Fit – Bridging Emotional Intelligence & Career Agility.” The session was delivered by renowned facilitator, Mohammed Ahmed Ademola (MentorMoh), who engaged participants with practical insights into self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and adaptability in navigating modern career pathways.

Participants were inspired to look inward, identify their unique strengths, and embrace the importance of emotional intelligence as a critical tool for personal and professional success. The interactive session left both students and educators energized, with renewed clarity on aligning passion with purpose.

The event also witnessed the presence of the Council Manager alongside respected traditional rulers, underscoring the importance of collective community involvement in shaping the future of young people. Their participation highlighted a shared commitment to building a generation that is not only educated but also purpose-driven and future-ready.

As the two-day engagement draws to a close, it leaves behind more than just knowledge—it instills direction, confidence, and inspiration in students to pursue meaningful and impactful lives.

This initiative further reflects the unwavering commitment of Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, to nurturing the next generation through innovative and forward-thinking educational programmes that prepare students for global opportunities.
